Lycoming County is located in the heart of North Central Pennsylvania and offers a wide range of year-round recreational opportunities.  The climate in Lycoming County changes seasonally, with summer highs in the 90’s and winter lows in the 30’s.  Lycoming County averages 40 inches of precipitation and 30 inches of snow annually.   Williamsport and Lycoming County is an outdoor recreation paradise, from hiking and biking on our internationally recognized Pine Creek Rail Trail to fly-fishing on Loyalsock Creek. Water enthusiasts can enjoy canoeing or kayaking along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River which flows through the county.
