Business Retention & Expansion Program

Business Retention & Expansion Program (BREP)

The Pennsylvania Business Retention and Expansion Program (BREP) was established in 1997 to forge better working relationships and stronger collaboration among various public, private, state and local economic development organizations, with the goal of enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of efforts to retain and grow existing Pennsylvania businesses. BREP is the most aggressive job retention program in the country. Since its inception, representatives of the BREP have completed over 73,400 visits. Click here to view the 2007 BREP Report.

Uses - BREP is designed to foster collaboration for economic vitality through business retention and expansion.
Funding - The grant amount received varies from region to region, depending on how many business retention visits the region plans to make on behalf of BREP.

Eligibility - Eligible, reimbursable visits must adhere to region and state preferences. BREP Criteria for Eligible Visits
